This case involves an entrepreneur/inventor looking for a new venture. His new idea came from his personal experience and observation which he thought could be of interest tor others as well, i.e. blinds that could help to heat a room, or, alternatively, reduce excess heat from sunlight. He therefore invented double-sided blinds with one side reflecting, and the other side absorbing solar radiation. That was the easy part; then came the hard part of commercialization. The entrepreneur did not want to become a blinds manufacturer, rather he wanted to sell the IP covering the product and manufacturing process. He looked for companies manufacturing blinds in Lithuania and abroad. Eventually he found a strategic partner with manufacturing capabilities and sales channels in Lithuania. He is still looking for international partners.
