Intermediary Organisations

Intermediary Organisations are independent bodies used to signpost facilities and skills, usually from academia. Some of these have funding available for initial engagements and projects. An example would be Interface, set up in Scotland to allow businesses to access all of the University research base through one inquiry or CNRS in France. There are different forms of intermediaries, some are national or local government bodies (e.g. Regional Development Agencies), some are run through University technology transfer offices and others are private companies.
